Promptab Privacy Policy
Promptab helps you save and reuse prompts in your browser. This policy explains what we store, why we store it, and how you can delete it.
Last updated: April 27, 2026
What Promptab Stores
Promptab manages prompts, options, favorites, folders, recent history, and interface settings so you can reuse them while you work on supported AI chat pages.
- Before sign-in: prompts, options, favorites, folders, recent history, and UI settings are stored in this browser.
- After Google sign-in: account-based app state, onboarding/self-tag settings, custom tag input, and analytics consent state may be synced so your setup is available on the same account.
- Operational events: Promptab may record minimal events such as sign-in, panel open, favorite save, prompt insert/send, sync success or failure, supported site, source, and client version.
- Support reports: if you choose to send an issue report, it may include error code, sync status, site, app version, account email, and failure time.
What Promptab Does Not Store in Reports
Promptab is designed to keep prompt content out of analytics and issue-report payloads unless you choose to include details yourself.
Why We Use This Information
- To save and restore your prompt library, folders, favorites, options, and recent history.
- To sync your setup after Google sign-in when account sync is available.
- To understand whether core product flows such as sign-in, sync, and prompt insertion are working.
- To help diagnose issues when you deliberately send a support report.
Third-Party Processors
- Supabase: sign-in, account identification, remote storage, and account data deletion.
- Google Analytics 4: minimal usage-event aggregation after analytics consent and onboarding/self-tag settings are complete.
- Resend: delivery of sync-error report emails when you choose to send an issue report.
Ads, Analytics, and Resale
Promptab does not provide saved prompt bodies or recent history bodies for ad targeting, analytics profiling, or resale. We aim to process only the information needed to run, sync, support, and improve the service.
Data Deletion
Local data can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing this browser's extension storage. Promptab data can be deleted from the side panel. Open Settings, then open Privacy and use the data deletion control shown there.
